Joscelyne and Josh's Saint John rustic Bohemian meets modern elegance wedding

Joscelyne and Josh's wedding was one for the magazines ...LITERALLY. In fact it actually got featured in Canada's most popular wedding magazine, Wedding Bells. As a New Brunswick Photographer, this was a big deal.

Without the vision Joscelyne had for her wedding day and the team she built, it wouldn't have been possible to create this all so perfectly. From the planning to the décor, the venue, the beautiful wedding dress and floral, it was a sight you had to witness.

What is your engagement story?:

JOSCELYNE "We talked about rings for awhile basically me just showing him what I liked and didn’t like online. He started researching online and kept showing me rings. Never thought anything of it. We went home for Christmas December 2016 and went to look at rings. Again, we did this a lot so I wasn’t expecting anything different. He went back to that store with our little girl the next day to purchase the ring. It was Christmas Eve morning he asked me to make the coffee while he cooked breakfast. I went to the cupboard opened up the Folgers coffee container and there was a weird shaped box upside down. In my mind I had no idea what it was. I turned around to ask “what” .... and he was on his knee. I cried and cried."

The day began with the bride , her ladies and her little baby girl getting dressed at the beautiful Chateau Saint John. The rooms helped create beautiful imagery with the bright space it provided.

OK! Can we just stop here for a minute? This dress had everyone turning heads and jaws were literally dropping on the floor. Joscelyne picked up this stunning lace dress from Bridal Vision in Moncton and her personal seamstress created the detachable sleeves so she can slip in and out as she pleased. It was honestly the most gorgeous dress I had ever photographed or even seen. I think everyone would agree.

Describe the top 3 best moments and why.

JOSCELYNE: "My top 3 best moments of our special day were: First when I saw my Groom for the first time standing at the alter waiting for me.  Second, when they announced us as husband and wife and we exited the church to “our” favorite song “500 miles”, and third but not last was the reception, meal, and dance.  My list could go on and on because there were definitely more than 3 top moments of day.  Photography was special because we got to spend intimate time together as a family with our little girl in front of the camera in the fog on the beach…so special"

Saint John has some beautiful beaches but that particular foggy day, New River Beach was just magic. We had honestly the best backdrop and foreground that day.

Joscelyne worked with Natasha's Wedding and Events on creating this theme and vision she had in her mind. Well they worked the magic because I think everyone felt so welcome as soon as they stepped foot at Ticklebelly Hill in Oak Bay.

Theme: Rustic Bohemian meets modern elegance.  Brass candlestick holders, lots of greenery, geometric lanterns and vases, wooden signs and lanterns, tall large floral centerpieces, grey gauze runners.

The Sparklers was probably my favourite moment. The excitement around was contagious and I almost wanted to light one up myself had I not been capturing this epic moment!

Ticklebelly Hill was the perfect  backdrop both inside and out. The ambiance for this first dance and that chandelier! WOW!

As the night went on there may have been some more drinking and dancing with the Southern Comfort Band
